Dr. Cousins' Bio

Dr. Karen Cousins is a native of Slidell, Louisiana. She graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Animal Science and Technology in 2013. She later attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and, upon finishing up her clinical year back home at LSU, received her DVM in 2019. Her interests include preventative medicine, exotics, and integrative medicine. She has two fur babies at home, Fonzie and Allie (cats). She enjoys baking, brunching, traveling, Netflix, and spending time with family.

Dr. Plouffe is an Associate Veterinarian at Blue Cross Pet Clinic, where her passion lies in building meaningful relationships with clients and ensuring every visit is a compassionate and positive experience for both pets and their families.

With a dedication to lifelong learning, Dr. Plouffe continuously enhances her knowledge and skills to provide the highest level of care to her patients. Her commitment to excellence and empathy makes her an invaluable member of the Blue Cross Pet Clinic team.

Outside of work, Dr. Plouffe enjoys expressing her creativity through crafts like sewing and embroidery. She also loves staying active and having fun on the pickleball court.

Dr. Isabel Soignet is a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. She enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Crews!
