Dr. Beissner's Bio

Dr. B. is a 1992 A&M graduate. He lives on a ranch with cattle, horses, several dogs and cats. In his free time, he loves ranching and farming. He is married with one son and one granddaughter.

Dr. Gateman

Veterinarian

Dr. Gateman's Bio

Dr. Gateman joined Blue Cross Pet Clinic in August 2020 after relocating to San Antonio and absolutely loves it here. She has special interests in Neurology and canine physical rehabilitation. Dr. Liz Gateman is from Cleveland, Ohio, and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kent State University in Ohio. She graduated with her degree in Veterinary Science in December 2012 from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. She met her husband while working in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later moved to Monterey, California, and then to San Antonio in March 2018. They have four fur babies, which they rescued during their travels, two terrier mixes, a retired racing greyhound, and a lynx point Siamese.

Dr. Cousins

Dr. Cousins' Bio

Dr. Karen Cousins is a native of Slidell, Louisiana. She graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Animal Science and Technology in 2013. She later attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and, upon finishing up her clinical year back home at LSU, received her DVM in 2019. Her interests include preventative medicine, exotics, and integrative medicine. She has two fur babies at home, Fonzie and Allie (cats). She enjoys baking, brunching, traveling, Netflix, and spending time with family.
