Parasite Prevention
Parasites aren’t just a nuisance—they can pose serious health risks to both pets and humans.

Why Is Parasite Prevention Important?
Parasites can cause discomfort, disease, and even life-threatening conditions if left untreated. Many parasites are also zoonotic, meaning they can be transmitted to humans. The best way to protect your pet and family is through year-round prevention.
Common Pet Parasites & How to Prevent Them
Fleas
- Cause itching, skin infections, and allergies
- Can transmit tapeworms
- Prevention: Monthly flea control treatments (topical, oral, or collars)
Ticks

Intestinal Parasites (Roundworms, Hookworms, Tapeworms, Giardia, Coccidia)

I love this vet office. I have brought all my pets to this clinic ever since I can remember. Their prices are super reasonable, office staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Even of you don't have an appointment, they will still see your pet and you won't have to worry about a looooooong wait like you do at other offices. I would totally recommend this office for all your family pets
Dr. Beissner is kind and compassionate to both pets and their owners. He does his best to diagnose without running a bunch of tests; he understands that sudden vet expenses can be hard to cover for a lot of folks. His manner is steady and gentle. He was quick to diagnose and give me a referral for an ultrasound to get to the root of my beloved tuxedo cat Albert's health issues. I only had a few more days with my baby after that, but I will always take my other cats to him for the quality of care he provides.
